A birthday thought....

It's my 42nd birthday, and I gotta say, I am happy to be 42. I was given a 30-40% chance to see today at my diagnosis 5+ years ago......am feeling very blessed today. I have lost some special friends during these 5 years to this horrible disease. I don't understand why I am the one still here, but hold my girlfriends Betty and Franya in a special place in my heart. Sorry to get HeAvY on my blog, just felt the need to express this. Take a minute to give thanks to God for what you have, look at a neighbor and ask yourself.....what can I do to help someone who is strugglng? As Ellen says...'be kind to one another'....isn't that what it's all about?
