A birthday thought....

It's my 42nd birthday, and I gotta say, I am happy to be 42. I was given a 30-40% chance to see today at my diagnosis 5+ years ago......am feeling very blessed today. I have lost some special friends during these 5 years to this horrible disease. I don't understand why I am the one still here, but hold my girlfriends Betty and Franya in a special place in my heart. Sorry to get HeAvY on my blog, just felt the need to express this. Take a minute to give thanks to God for what you have, look at a neighbor and ask yourself.....what can I do to help someone who is strugglng? As Ellen says...'be kind to one another'....isn't that what it's all about?

PuMpEd!  good week people!  Not only did we score tix to Duran Duran in Chicago for an August Shizzo.....I also just ordered an early bday gift for meeeeself.  The Sizzix Big Shot Die Cut machine.  I have a cricut, but I always drool over the die cuts for the sizzix machine..........I'm starting with a 3 dimensional flower that will come with my order on TUES!!!!!  Holey Moley Rockey!

American Crafts has Thickers, we know 'em, looooove 'em....but how about being able to customize 'em? Double sided stick.....,use your FaV glitter, flocking, etc., and viola! BeaUtitUde!

New obsession

Aaaargh! I LoVe this new (well, new to me) gadget made by Epiphany! Squeal! I can make my own brads and charms with this little beauty! Hello lover! This card was made using October Afternoons 'Sidewalks' paper. LoveRly!

Authentique

I have a 6x6 pad of Authentique paper...the collection is 'Blissful'. It's been just sitting here because the colors didn't really inspire me....but I worked that out. It turned out to be FuN! Whatcha think?

SaSsY

I LOVE Stamping Bella stamps.  You do need to use an adhesive to attach them to your stamping block....I've started just using some double sided tape and cleaning the block really well when I'm done.  Anyhoosie doosie, I think this chick is SaSsY!  I gave this card to a supa sassy friend of mine for her birthday.  I used copic markers (still getting the hang of them, even after a class), my wonderful little embossing machine for the dry embossing, some ribbon, and the sentiment is a rub on.
